It feels warm and it looks good.

An internal pocket would be useful, but that’s nitpicking
The Jottnar Fenrir is one of those garments that, having once used, you wonder how you ever managed without it previously.
Designed as a ‘hybrid’ you can use it as either an outer or mid-layer, and warmth is pretty much guaranteed thanks to its 850 Fill Power hydrophobic (i.e. water-repellent) eco-friendly micro down lining.
The Fenrir is able to retain its loft – and therefore its insulation – even after prolonged, heavy use, and the water repellence won’t wash out, so you shouldn’t find its insulating qualities decreasing over time.
Weight is kept to a minimum – a mere 380g – thanks to a lightweight but tough ripstop nylon face fabric and a relative paucity of features, but this isn’t a jacket designed for the kind of skier who wants loads of pockets and the like.
Indeed, there are just two zipped hand pockets in the Fenrir. In addition you get an attached hood, elasticated cuffs and adjustable hem but that’s your lot.
Where features are minimal comfort is maximal though. The Fenrir feels absolutely lovely as soon as you slip it on and you can feel the warmth emanating from it almost instantly.
If you’re after a versatile, good-looking jacket that you’ll probably find yourself using year-round (it can get chilly on summer evenings too) the Fenrir is well worth trying on.
